? Step 1: Install the Dialer Extension
Go to the Chrome Web Store (or Safari/Firefox equivalent).
Search for “Ringover Dialer” and click Add to Chrome.
Once installed, you’ll see the Ringover icon in your browser toolbar.
?️ Step 2: Choose How You Want It to Work (Display Modes)
Mode | What It Does |
---|---|
Side Panel Webapp | Opens a small Ringover dialer on the side of your screen. |
In-Page | Adds a dialer button next to numbers on websites. |
Webapp on Tab | Opens the full Ringover dialer in a new browser tab. |
Desktop App | Launches calls from your Ringover desktop app. |
External/SIP Phone | Routes calls to an external phone line if set up. |
You can set your preferred mode in the extension’s settings.
☎️ Step 3: Choose What Happens When You Click a Number
You can customize what clicking a phone number does:
Click to Call – Calls the number instantly.
?️ Step 4: Adjust Number Format (Optional)
You can choose how numbers appear, e.g., with country codes or local formats.
Set this in the Dialer extension settings if needed.
? Step 5: Block Sites You Don’t Want It To Work On
Go to the extension menu and choose Manage Blacklist.
Add websites where you don’t want phone numbers to be detected.
Example:
https://www.linkedin.com/*
Click Add to save.
