AVD Log In

Google Chrome

Any bookmarks you have saved within Google Chrome will not transfer over to the new environment. If you would like to copy them across you can do this using Google Chrome account with Sync.

This will need to be done in Citrix (before logging into AVD), and you can then log in again within AVD to sync across all bookmarks that have been saved.

**If you do not do this step, you will lose your bookmarks.

How to turn on Sync

1. Within Google Chrome, log into your Google account
2. Click the three dots located top right corner
3. From the drop-down down locate “Settings”
4. Click “turn on” and then “Yes, I’m in”

This step will sync all the bookmarks

PLEASE NOTE: Browser password managers such as Google Chrome Password Manager may be very convenient, however, they don’t use zero-knowledge encryption techniques and are therefore not considered fully secure.

FOR YOUR SECURITY we don’t recommend you use the Google Chrome password manager to store important passwords; in particular do not store passwords for Outlook / Email, Banking, etc.

Logging into AVD

1. Click windows on your keyboard or the bottom left corner
2. Search or find “Remote Desktop” 
3. This is the page that will show

4. Click "Subscribe"

5. Use the same login as Citrix and your laptop

6. MFA if required

7. Double click “Session Desktop”

Setting up AVD Screens

When set to default AVD will open on all screens, to have custom settings

1. Right-click “Session Desktop”

2. Untick “Default Settings”

3. Under “Display configuration” select “Select Displays”

4. Chose the monitor/screens you want AVD to be displayed on
